Abortion According to Aristotle free essay sample

Fetus removal as indicated by Aristotle Do you accept that premature birth is ethically right? That removing somebody else’s life is a choice? That premature birth is following the Golden Mean as per Aristotle? Presently, numerous individuals accept that it tends to be an alternative, in light of the fact that the infant hasn’t been conceived at this point. Yet, others, including Aristotle will oppose this idea. As a matter of first importance, who is Aristotle? Aristotle was a rationalist who felt that a demonstration is ethically right in the event that it follows the Golden Mean. This is an activity or an inclination reacting to a specific circumstance at the ideal time, the correct way, the perfect sum or/and the correct explanation. Not all that much and not very little. The way in to the Golden Mean is with some restraint. I picked Aristotle since I accept that he has the best moral way of thinking. I concur with Aristotle’s thoughts regarding the Golden Mean since I accept that on the off chance that you are a moderate individual, you won't take anything to an extraordinary and you’ll use sound judgment. He likewise has confidence in the Sofia Virtue which is that you need to think straight, learn well and act appropriately. This thought for the most part settles in the results of activities and how you may react on them. The Golden Mean additionally reveal to us that you have to require temperance since it shows how moral an individual is, yet what I don’t concur that if an individual is excellencies, they will know precisely when to stop all alone. I don’t concur with that thought in light of the fact that occasionally upright individuals are compelled to accomplish something they don’t like to do so they attempt to stop it, yet they can't. Right now, fetus removal is a significant issue confronting the world, particularly for adolescents. Premature birth is when there is a cognizant or purposeful end in human pregnancy. There are two sorts of it: remedial and elective. Remedial is the point at which the mother needs to prematurely end in view of medical problems while elective, is the point at which the mother needs to prematurely end since she doesn’t need the infant. The two different ways to prematurely end are: clinical and careful. Clinical is the point at which the specialist gives the patient a few medications to end the pregnancy. The main issue with clinical fetus removal is that it can just capacity for the initial nine weeks after origination and the patient will get solid issues. The other way, the careful is the point at which the specialist expels the embryo by manual vacuum goal/dilatation/departure. These three distinct ways are by engrossing the organs or pulling the embryo part by part. This must be practice for 15 to 24 weeks after origination. As indicated by Aristotle’s suspected, premature birth isn't following the Golden Mean since it is an activity that doesn’t react at the ideal time by settling on a choice at an off-base time, in the correct way and the perfect measure of reason, by picking an overabundance. Additionally, fetus removal isn't following the Sofia Virtue since when you are settling on the choice to prematurely end, you are not thinking straight, acting likewise, and learning admirably in light of the fact that you are picking a choice that is an abundance. Another thought that premature birth isn't following Aristotle’s convictions is that individuals who are deciding to prematurely end are picking an abundance rather the mean. For this situation, the shortage will keep the child and the mean will be giving the infant for reception. Appropriation will really be a mean since it is what is ethically right and is the best for the child since he/she will be with a family that will adore them rather than a spot where they won’t be cherished. While keeping the infant will be a shortfall since they may realize that they weren’t needed and that will hurt the child. Aristotle likewise felt that in the event that somebody was prudent, they would realize when precisely to stop all alone or start. At the point when we relate this idea with a case of assault and selection, numerous individuals differ on the grounds that numerous young ladies need to stop the assault, however they can’t. Afterward, their outcomes are that they are expecting a child from somebody who assaults them. As indicated by Michael Smith, assault is the purpose behind 13,000 of 1. 3 million yearly premature births (Smith, â€Å"Women’s Health†). It may not be such a large number of individuals however you can get some information about what number of children are being prematurely ended. 13,000 have been executed as a result of it, and I accept that it is ethically wrong, that the most secure activity is offer it to selection. Rather than heading off to an overabundance, these young ladies should utilize the Sofia Virtue and think straight and settle on a proper choice that won't influence anyone. In light of the ethical thinking of Aristotle, the right moral reaction to fetus removal is forbearance. To have intercourse at the opportune time, in the correct path by securing yourself, and with the perfect measure of reason so that if there is a sudden child, you will be plan for it. So when, you are in a circumstance that you’ll need to pick between an overabundance, mean, and deficiency, you ought to consider the Golden Mean since it will make you think straight and act appropriately while settling on the choice and learning the results that it might bring. Deforestation in Amazonia Free Essays

string(145) to all the more monetarily created nations for the explanation that the interest for the minerals is high from created nations as they are so vital. The Amazon rainforest is the world’s biggest rainforest arranged in Brail of South America and thus endures the most deforestation on the planet. Deforestation is the reason for the annihilation of the Amazon and quickly turning into the most solid technique for access to assets, for example, wood. The nations of Amazonia are poor, less created nations that depend on the assets of the Amazon rainforest to get more extravagant, increasingly created nations. We will compose a custom exposition test on Deforestation in Amazonia or then again any comparable subject just for you Request Now Nonetheless, a few people imagine that they can just do this by crushing the rainforest until the end of time. The trees of the rainforest can be sold for wood (timber). This timber is in extraordinary interest in monetarily created nations like Britain, Japan and USA. Appropriately, all things considered in incredible interest, there are numerous favorable circumstances just as drawbacks of the deforestation of the trees in the Amazon. There are numerous individuals that have an enthusiasm for the rainforest, for example, the enormous organizations in the created nations who purchase the crude materials, for example, the wood from the rainforest. The matter of exchange of the materials would undoubtedly improve the creating nations like Peru and Brazil as the administration would benefit exceedingly and could utilize the cash to assemble streets or give the materials to structures and schools or emergency clinics as an approach to improve the nation. As the organization will be a transnational organization, there will be many, numerous employments made in both the creating and created nations engaged with the business in this way improving the way of life for some individuals in the two kinds of nations. By and by, the annihilation of the rainforest will be immense and this utilization of the rainforest won't secure the woodland. Different kinds of individuals that may be keen on the rainforest are the proprietor and laborers of a saw factory. The proprietor would pick up from his business and would likewise put numerous nearby individuals in work. This would improve the neighborhood people’s way of life in any case, the plant would not assist the whole nation with becoming increasingly evolved. So also, this utilization of the rainforest won't help secure the rainforest be that as it may, its pulverization would not be on such an enormous scope as the huge companies’ utilization of the woodland. Landless ranchers would be under the feeling that they would likewise profit by the deforestation of the backwoods land. One of the government’s plans to improve the nation is to give landless ranchers a method of living by urging them to set up little homesteads ashore which has been deforested. The landless ranchers acknowledge the land as the legislature gives it to the efficiently. Nonetheless, because of deforestation, the land has gotten pointless as the dirt is fruitless and helpless against disintegration because of the central atmosphere. This implies Brazil would not turn out to be progressively evolved in light of the fact that the landless ranchers won't have the land reasonable for developing harvests along these lines their way of life will stay poor, adding to the neediness of the creating nation. In this manner, Brazil is left with the decimation of deforestation and pointless soil that can't be recouped notwithstanding the issue of harmed view, all of which doesn't secure the Amazon rainforest. One point to be considered is that the occupations made will monetarily build up the nation since assessment will be presented and the administration could profit by the duty cash to improve the nation by building schools and medical clinics and so on so in one manner, the poor nations would turn out to be progressively evolved. In the event that the land that has been deforested because of timber being in extraordinary interest financially is transformed into dairy cattle farms and manors, neighborhood individuals would profit by this the same number of employments will be made. Laborers will improve their way of life from this as ranches will permit imperative yields, for example, sugar, espresso and elastic plants to be developed. These crude materials can be offered to financially created nations, be that as it may, developing these harvests will be a moderate procedure and the laborers would not profit straight away. Then again, the nearby clans like the Kayapo would be against the deforestation of the rainforest totally as their method of living and social conventions are annihilated in light of the fact that they are constrained off the land to clear a path for new improvements bringing about loss of homes and along these lines poor ways of life resulting again in the neediness of the nation. Common traditionalists and sightseers would be against this utilization of the rainforest on the grounds that uncommon creature species would get wiped out, just as uncommon plant and tree species being crushed. For this utilization of the rainforest to be reasonable, far less trees would need to be wrecked. Factually, around one out of twenty trees is of financial worth, while the rest are devastated for reasons unknown, prompting the termination of uncommon types of plants and trees, which the characteristic progressives would be against. To keep up supportability of the rainforest by utilizing it for the timber, huge organizations who purchase the crude materials could just chop down the trees of financial worth as opposed to devastating others. Additionally, expelling the deforested trees brings about other vegetation to be obliterated as streets must be constructed and vehicles must be brought into the rainforest to evacuate the trees. Inhabitants of the timberland know about the conditions and have discovered others approaches to evacuate the trees without devastating others. Wild oxen have been utilized to drag the trees out, without the need to construct streets. In any case, utilizing wild oxen to evacuate the trees would be moderate improvement for the administration so a couple of streets could be constructed. Another utilization of the rainforest is for important minerals. Under the backwoods lie gigantic measures of significant minerals like iron metal, bauxite and gold, some of which are essential to day by day life. These significant minerals are offered to financially created nations. The creating nation would benefit from the offer of the minerals to all the more monetarily created nations for the explanation that the interest for the minerals is high from created nations as they are so fundamental. You read Deforestation in Amazonia in class Papers as anyone might expect, deforestation is the strategy used to get to these minerals, causing masses of pulverization. All things considered, enormous organizations in the created nations who purchase the crude materials from the rainforest will in any case favor the utilization of the rainforest to extricate significant minerals. Other than obliterating the land under which the minerals lie, room must be made for the force stations required. Extricating significant minerals, for example, bauxite which is aluminum need hydro-electric force from these force stations. One preferred position of this utilization of the rainforest is that power can be accommodated the nearby individuals just as for the extraction of minerals. This along these lines helps some portion of the nation to turn out to be progressively evolved the same number of homes would have the essential conveniences that a home in the created nation would have. Another bit of leeway of this utilization of the rainforest is that once more, numerous employments will be made for the neighborhood individuals to work at the locales. Employments will be made so as to construct the force stations, to manufacture streets with the goal that entrance to the rainforest is simple just as for the evacuation of the trees. Employments will infer a superior way of life for the individuals of the nation. In any case, there are numerous drawbacks of the utilization of the rainforest in this technique. The deforestation procedure leaves the dirt futile as it gets fruitless and uncertain. This is on the grounds that the underlying foundations of the trees once held the dirt together, to keep it from crumbling, and a great deal of the supplements in the dirt were additionally given by the trees. Along these lines landless ranchers are by and by left not profiting by this utilization of the rainforest. Deforestation additionally adds to the issue of the demolition of the view which regular protectionists and vacationers of the rainforest would be against, and furthermore in light of the annihilation of a wide range of types of creatures and plants. The deforested land could then be utilized for cows farms which a couple of neighborhood individuals would benefit from in light of the fact that occupations would be made on the farms. There would likewise be one issue that the laborers would look on the steers farm. As the land has been deforested it will be improbable that grass will develop which is imperative to the cows for eating. In this manner the steers would not be as solid and the food produce from the dairy cattle would not be as speaking to the more extravagant nations. . In any case, this issue is just little scope and the grass would develop back in the long run. Consequently, laborers on dairy cattle farms would be agreeable to this utilization of the rainforest. Then again, laborers on estate ranches would think that its hard to develop key harvests, for example, sugar, elastic, and espresso plants as the dirt would be barren. Thus, the nearby clans of Amerindians would be against this utilization of the rainforest as they don't profit by deforestation due to their customary, social and social method of living from the trees in clinical manners just as having creatures to chase for food. To keep up manageability in the rainforest utilizing this technique for separating minerals from the rainforest extraction of the minerals could happen in parts of the rainforests which have just been deforested because of timber exchange instead of deforesting new zones of the rainforest. Another way is that when the dirt is uncovered after the extraction, individuals could figure out how to restore the supplements over into the dirt for instance by utilizing fake manures. Nonetheless, this ends up being enormously expensive for the administration as a large number of sections of land of land would should be secured and this would not profit the nation if the cash w

There is a number of situations when the knowledge of how to give a presentation proves to be crucial for a future career. Giving a presentation can be very terrifying, especially when the speech is given in front of a big crowd or is centered around some unfamiliar topic. However, this fear should not overshadow the main objectives of the presentation. The ultimate goal of a speaker is to be heard by the audience, to engage the listeners in the topic, as well as to teach them something or persuade them to take some specific actions. In order to succeed at this, the speaker needs to be compelling. Yet, there is not much of a difficulty for the person who knows how to give a presentation. Step 1. Plan the Presentation First of all, the speaker should remember that the presentation must be interesting for the audience. The talk has to be relevant, logically planned and understandable. It is much better when the presentation has an instructional character, that is, does not simply tell a story, but is practically applicable for the listeners to use in the future. The presenter should not underestimate the usefulness of bullet points. They function as a rationalization in the presentation and should highlight the key ideas only. In addition, each slide should depict one point, and it is very important to use strong visualization. Step 3. Deliver the Presentation With all of the mentioned above prepared, it should be much easier to give the actual speech in front of the audience. The speaker should remember that the audience sees him or her as an expert in the field. Bearing this in mind, one should try to stay confident and relaxed. At the same time, he or she needs to be enthusiastic about the topic and simply have fun. Positive mood will lift the audience up and will make it a pleasant experience for everybody. It is very good to joke, but the jokes should be appropriate. For the same very reason, it is essential not to remain still and unemotional. Overall, if the speaker is well-prepared and knows how to give a presentation, there is no doubt that it will prove to be engaging and useful.

Comparing Creation Myths of Ancient Egypt and The...

Comparing Creation Myths of Ancient Egypt and The Christian Bible Creation in Ancient Egyptian religion can be much different than the creation account taken from The Bible. Genesis has a set description of â€Å"The Beginning† while there are several different versions and variations in Egyptian mythology. The versions range from a â€Å"one god† myth (Ptah; see picture) to the more common creator out of Nun, which in itself has several derivations. The Ogdoad is a grouping of eight gods that existed before the creator and formed him. This version is taken from Middle Egypt at Hermopolis. The eight gods consisted of Amun, Huh, Kuk, and Nun and their counterparts (i.e. Nun and Naunet). They came together to create an egg that contains the†¦show more content†¦Creation began by a bodily function of the creator god. Either through ejaculation, sneezing, or spitting the creator began to produce others (Redford). The creator god had other gods come into being and they in turn began to create until the ancient Egyptians had a sufficient explanation for there being here. The most popular creation myth, in present day is the â€Å"one god† myth. It existed yet, had a brief life and it was in the minority. Here Ptah was the closest thing to monotheism that the ancients had. This is a popular theme in Memphite theology, but it was present in parts of Egypt. Ptah supposedly had all that is manifest in thought and then created them with his Word (Baines, 1991). It is also said that the â€Å"one god† is and the other god names are used to personify an extension of the â€Å"one god† (Ancient Egyptian Religion pg. 2 and 3). Ptah creates the Ennead with thought and word. This monotheism was not very widespread and it did not last long. In Genesis, the first book of The Bible the Christian and Jewish creation story is told. God spoke and his Word was done. He made the heavens and the earth. He made light and drove away the dark. On the earth he created the waters and lands and man and beast. The last two accounts are similar in many ways. Ptah can be identified with God even though what they did to create was not exactly similar. Critical Reflection on the Hidden Influence of the British...

Introduction When someone becomes a member of the Parliament, he has to swear an oath of allegiance to the Crown, instead of swearing loyalty to the people who elected him. If he rejects to do so, that politician will not be able to take his seat and can also be fined. Same happens with judges and other public servants in the United Kingdom, who are, even if symbolically, servants of the Crown. This, however, is just a small visible end of the real power that the British –constitutional- monarchy holds over public employees. Since the limitation of powers of the Crown in the XVII century the royals have been using their forceful influence in an unofficial way for their own benefit (Adams, 2010; Booth 2010 and 2011; Wilson, 1989). Taking†¦show more content†¦Until the XVII century British monarchs had absolute power, which meant they had the right to do anything he wanted as they had been appointed by God. However, after a century of bloody civil wars, unrest and political tensions -including the execution of Charles I, the Revolution of 1688, the rise and fall of a Republic and the restoration of the monarchy- the Parliament passed the Bill of Rights in 1689 (Stoyle, 2011). This document established the first foundations of constitutional monarchy, that is, a monarchy whose powers are bound by some written and unwritten legal documents in favour of a more democratic society and ensuring their political impartiality (Wilkinson, 2006). Thanks to the Bill of Rights the Parliament were able to legis late, rule and elect members of the Parliament without the Royal interference needed until that moment. Since then, the British political system has developed giving more power to the Parliament to the detriment of the Crown. The Royal powers have been limited to â€Å"the summoning, proroguing and dissolution of parliament; the granting of royal assent to bills; (†¦) the making of treaties, the declaration of war and the making of peace† as well as to appoint ministers, judges and other public servants among other rights. Capital punishment can be viewed as a way of healing for the two families connected to the offense and bringing closure to all involved. An argument that can be made for capital punishment is that in some situations, the convicted inmate gains sympathy or even becomes idolized. One example, is how Charles Manson at the age 75 and notoriously known for the horrific crimes his infamous Family had committed still receives mail frequently. He still carries a supporting group of fans even after he has been locked up in prison for over thirty years and still there is a group of people who idolize Manson. Another example is Stanley Tookie Williams, known as one of the founders of the infamous American gangs called the Crips. Tookie was convicted of all four murders that happen during burglaries and was sentence Williams to death. Williams openly spoke how he shot some of his victims in the back and laughed at the noises they made as they died. This factor directly affects the workforce supply as we cannot accurately assess the future and its requirements. The requirements may vary from time to time. Hence, workforce supply is hindered. Supply and demand Sometimes the supply and demand curve does not compliment each other which create a problem for the company in getting the required amount of workforce for the operations of the organization. Organizations requirements for a skilled and diverse workforce A leading organization like Wesfarmers needs to compete with its rivalry for which it is necessary for it to have best people appointed at the operations. The requirements of a company are defined by its work ad structure it posses. Eventually, it leads to many more upcoming challenges for which people are required in order to fulfill the goals. Hence, Wesfarmers require a completely skilled and diverse workforce as it has very extended operations which are also worldwide where expatriates are also needed. The working structure of a company is very large so it needs to have highly skilled, semi-skilled, as well as labor as well depending upon the work which it is assigning to people according to their skills. Organizational strategy retention of the workforce Retaining workforce is a task in a 21st century where there is the ample number of competition. To be at a stage where there are a lot of options available to choose from is a task. For which there are certain criteria where Wesfarmers has to lead and they are as follows: Specific objectives for the organization on recruitment Wesfarmers have to make certain and clear goals for the organization in order to function properly by this employees will also be retained for a longer period of time as they will know what has to do. Training Proper training about the operations which has to be performed should be there so as to avoid any kind of confusions. Redeployment This is a major tool which can be used to retain employees that if they dont fit any ob they can be redeployed to a job according to their skills in order to have them for a longer period of time (NYAWIRA, 2017). Redundancy This is the major factor where employees are concerned so Wesfarmers have to make appropriate changes in this. Triple bottom line The three factors such as social, financial and environment for the employees must be taken care by Wesfarmers in the more attractive way to retain employees. Strategies to address unacceptable staff turnover It is always good to talk about topics which are controversial and it is always good to solve controversies so as to be the best player in the market. Wesfarmers, in order to address unacceptable staff turnover, can use exit interviews strategies which will help in knowing the reviews if the employer as well as employees so as to address the loopholes. Also, the goals or in other words standards have to be set for the exit interviews on the scale of which they will be measured and also the appropriate solution on the basis of which can be encountered. Define objectives to retain required skilled labor It is always justified to have employees for a long term in an organization (Knoke, 2018). This is a factor which helps the company to increase its goodwill as well as the satisfaction of people who are dedicating their time and efforts towards goals of Wesfarmers. The main objectives in order to do this activity are as follows: Cost Cutting Cost of internal and external sources which are used in recruiting new candidates is minimized. Secrecy is maintained Already working employees know about the process of a company so their retaining is equally retaining the secrecy. Increase in goodwill The company gets hampered in a market as it has most old working who is working with it. Objectives for workforce diversity and cross-cultural management Wesfarmers is a leading enterprise which has a very big channel of work. So workforce diversity is a huge concern and is majorly available in companys operations. There are many employees working as well as the existence of cross-cultural managements there due to its worldwide operations (Chang, 2016). There are several-legislation upon which the country is working variedly like the law of discrimination, equal opportunity act etc. upon which every state in Australia has to work and all the companies like Wesfarmers have to follow them. Diversity completely relates to the employees who are working in Wesfarmers are different from each other and they have different values, race, beliefs, religion, caste etc. but the company makes an environment to work for them in a proper manner (Cronin and et. al. 2018). As a whole, they are representing Wesfarmers which is a most common objective of all. Strategies to source skilled labor The ways through which Wesfarmers can source skilled labor are as follows: Internal Recruitment This is process through which a Wesfarmers can recruit its existing employees by promoting them, job rotation and various other internal ways of hiring potential people for suitable profiles (Byrd and Scott, 2014). External Recruitment This is a process of hiring people from outside of the organization by posting jobs on several portals, newspapers etc. Internal V/S External Internal recruitment is less costly than external. The complexity is both the process also varies internally is much more sorted than external. Internal help in retaining the existing employees and external brings a new blood in the organization. Objectives and rationale for stakeholders Stakeholders are the people who are associated with an organization directly or indirectly (Gabriel and Bennett, 015). They are affected by the operations of the company. Likewise, Wesfarmers also consists of a number of stakeholders like- shareholders, customers, employees, owner etc. The objectives of Wesfarmers are clear and firm which are to generate more and business and growth for the company. For the accomplishment of these goals , Wesfarmers will take the help of its employees which is quite obvious because a company(Trevino and Nelson, 2016)y is known by its people. For this Wesfarmers is trying to manage the manpower in such a manner that it leads to the fulfillment of the goals and objectives which are set. Obtain agreement and endorsement for objectives and establish targets It is very important for the company like Wesfarmers to gain the agreement of employees on the objectives which it has set for future goals accomplishment. So a proper channel of communication has to be used for it and also the established targets must be justified by the team of Wesfarmers. This will further eliminate the possibilities of hindrances from the side of the people who are associated with the business of the firm in a direct or indirect way (Dixit and Bajpai, 2015). Contingency plan for extreme situations The plan which is to be formed in order to deal with complex situations which may occur in future is what a contingency plan is. There are several situations which might be encountered by Wesfarmers while operating its business because the environment is dynamic and ever-changing (Jobling, 2017). So for this the company, first have to forecast the future in order to have a complete scenario about what extreme situations may occur in future, upon this after that a plan has to be developed so as to cope up with the situations, accuracy and accountability of the situations must be measured by various techniques which will help in conserving the time. Action to support agreed on objectives Recruitment can be initiated in Wesfarmers through an internal source and for this, the company has to measure the performance of the existing customers on the basis of certain criteria specified. This will help in promotion. Training to the existing employees is least necessary as they are aware of everything but an induction to the new role has to be done (Collings, Mellahi, and Cascio, 2017). Redeployment is a good strategy by which cost of recruitment reduces and the employee which is hired can be given a different role for which he/she is capable. Redundancy will help in creating job security awareness among the employees who are working with Wesfarmers. Strategies to assist workforce to deal with organizational change Organizational change is inevitable which has to be taken care by the company. For employees, time to training session and awareness to them about the changing environment must be provided on priority by Wesfarmers. This will help the employees to cope up with the changes (April et al., 2014). There is a procedure of unfreezing, change and refreeze through which company may get a feedback on any kind of change which is trying to implement in the company. The employees must be made aware of the changes which are happening. Strategies to assist organizations workforce diversity goals In order to implement the goals related to workforce diversity Wesfarmers has to make sure some basic steps as follows: Cost Wesfarmers has to set aside a budget for implementation of the diversity goals. Communication This is a way to make the employees aware of how to work in a diverse environment with various kind of people. Training A proper session of training in order to deal with the various complications while working in a diverse environment will add up to healthy relationship building with employees Rules Strict rules for the diverse culture must also be implemented by Wesfarmers to have a proper functioning (Ramos Sanchez, 2018). Succession planning The company can further develop its succession planning to ensure the durability by the following ways: Feedback Employees themselves can be asked about their development and retention. This will help in getting a proper feedback et al., (Hajkowicz, S.A., Reeson, A., Rudd, L., Bratanova, A., Hodgers, L., Mason, C. and Boughen, N., 2016). 360-degree evaluation On the basis of several factors, the employees can be assessed this will help in getting an outcome whether the strategies which are implemented are proper or not (April et al., 2014). Performance Also on the basis of the performance employees can be judged for whether the changes are positively impacting or not. Employer of choice After providing various facilities to the employees on various sections Wesfarmers will definitely be choosing the best employees of its choice (Humphreys et al., 2017). The company can develop a plan which makes sure while recruiting the employees for firm all the terms are specified and met by the selected candidate. Retention strategy for the company must be there in order to retain the employees for example exit interviews etc. Workforce plan Management The management of Wesfarmers can take action on the fact that why employees leave the organization. This will help in developing a plan to cope up with the challenges in the same field. Lack of rewards The company can increase the rewards and work upon its previous incentive policies in order to have more motivational enthusiasm for the employees to work for it. Over managed or undermanaged A proper investigation of the strategy of workforce management will help in knowing the loopholes of the organization. Labor supply trends There are changes when the external environment has problems in and at times it gets very much abnormal that demand does not compliment the supply in an organization for the employees. Likewise in such a situation when there is under or oversupply of workforce the company must utilize both the opportunities well (Oakley, 2018). In case of oversupply it must retain candidates according to its future forecasting for the manpower requirement. In undersupplying it must not hire any candidates from among the external environment. Effects of labor trends on demand for labor There are a lot of effects of labor trends on the demand for labor. The demand by a company like Wesfarmers is fulfilled according to labor trends (Rothwell et al., 2015). Sometimes there are ample of candidates and employees are available at the same time there is not a single one. So a proper strategy in order to deal with both has to make by the company. This directly affects the companys recruitment policy of getting the best candidate at the best possible position in the company. Organizational climate Wesfarmers is one of the best organizations. There is no doubt that it must be providing best organizational to gauge worker satisfaction (Steingold, 2017). The climate justification can be done on the basis of employees feedback, leaders justifications, planning and process survey etc. this will help in reaching a conclusion that the climate of Wesfarmers is appropriate for the worker satisfaction. Internal and external The process of refining includes various factors which are external and internal. Wesfarmers can evaluate its external environment where it can analyze the strategic plans and strategic actions which have to be implemented (Goetsch and Davis, 2014). These can be redefined in accordance with the changes in the environment. Internal changes may include changes in the vision, mission or goals of the company which can be refined according to the need and demand of the environment in which the company is operating. Globalization is also a factor is required to be considered as significant, as the company is operating worldwide so the factors and trends of it have to be analyzed. Government policy on labor demand and supply There are several legislations which have been passed by the government and these legislations have to be taken into account while a company is operating in an environment. Minimum wage act is one of the best example of policies imposed by governing authorities. So, these legislations keep on varying from time to time which has to be updated by the organization (Arkhipov, 2017). For this company have to remain updated with the external environment changes. Effectiveness of change processes The change process can be evaluated through various methods of evaluation such as surveys, feedbacks, 360-degree evaluation, and observation; reviewing the actions etc. this will helps in knowing whether the whole process is working properly or not. Conclusion In the limelight of the above-executed analysis, it has been concluded that the workforce is one of the most valuable assets of the business organization and hence there is a need of managing the workforce in an appropriate manner. The above report is focused on managing the workforce of Wesfarmers. References April, J., Better, M., Glover, F., Kelly, J.P. and Kochenberger, G., 2014. Auditing and Assurance KGC Ltd

Question: KGC Ltd. is hoping to raise $5 billion AUD, KGC Ltd. via a share issue. In the share prospectus,3 KGC Ltd. Noted that its PNG operations are its principal asset and described the operations as low risk and indefinite (permanent) in duration. Are you willing to sign-off on that prospectus as being true and fair? (Explain) Answer: KGC Ltd plans to raise investment of $ 5 billion AUD through the issue of shares by portraying the assets to be at low risk is not a fair statement. A shareholder before investing in any company needs to go through the companys prospectus in which he would be able to find various types of information required to enquire into before taking any investment decision. A company planning to make additional investment through the issue of shares provide the clients with different information about the company future prospects , strategy followed by it, investment objectives ,any risks if it would be exposed to, pricing of the product ,corporate responsible ,depiction of a fair financial statements , policy of fund and its history , measures of performance , commission , brokerage, matters of tax(SEC.Gov | Investment Company, Shareholders' Information"). The willing investors should have access to all these information in details. Investors needs to do their own research . The risk which company would face in carrying out their operation should be properly told so that the investors would be able to form speculation about the risks involved (Raising Funds In Australia | ASIC - Australian Securities And Investments Commission") . Here KGC Ltd is making a misrepresentation by describing the operation to be indefinite and at low risk. The fact that the license to continue mining activity from PNG government will expire in eight years and the ongoing court case due to the allegation of being environmentally irresponsible by some ecological group is making the continuation of the firm doubtful. So the prospectus could not be signed off as being true and fair by the investors. Reference : Raising Funds In Australia | ASIC - Australian Securities And Investments Commission".Asic.gov.au. Entertainment Software Association, 2003). Computer games are quickly taking a chuck of total dollars in the entertainment industry and some say will emerge with Hollywood to create a more interactive entertaining experience for the consumer. In this paper we will be discussion some brief history of games, how they are currently being developed in regards to software, where games are heading in the future, and how the y currently are being used today in other aspects of life. A History of Games The beginning According to many sources, the idea of the video game came about between 1949 and 951, From Space war to Tournament The history of computer games mistakenly termed videogames probably started in 1962. The early programmers and game designers came up with ideas which have been taken over by the industry and have nowadays become cultural stereotypes. Game types like combat games, strategy, simulation or dungeons and dragons were early 60ies inventions but they are still alive today and probably more vital than ever. Having a look at the old predecessors of todays Play station and Dreamcast games might explain why certain stereotypes are so persistent. Comparing early games with todays programmers also shows the technological progress achieved during the last 4 decades. It seems that the gaming industry and game technology nowadays challenges the complete computer industry in becoming the key industrial branch. Whether we like it or not, computer games greatly influences our society today. Computer games become a part of peoples lives. Almost everyone has been exposed to some kind of computer game – be it role playing games, puzzle games, action games played on a console, a personal computer, or a h andheld device. Because of this sudden interest in computer games, concerns about its effects, may it be positive or negative, arise. Being in a modern world, we naturally question these things. Is it a safe practice to play these games? Will it bring any good? Although many people think that it is unhealthy to play computer games, I believe that, in moderation, computer games can be beneficial in many ways such as in leisure and experience, learning, as well as improving our cognitive, logical, and managerial skills. First of all, video games can be considered as naturally alluring because of its aesthetic images and the realistic experiences that comes with it. As Poole said, video games, especially in these modern times, have very detailed audio-visual effects, usually presenting a simulated fantasy orld that appears to be close to reality (qtd. in Mitchel and Savill-Smith 17). Truly, computer games improved visually and became more realistic these past few years. These fantasy worlds are commonly found in simulation games, which is very useful for learning because it allows players to experience things that might be impossible or too expensive (Mitchell and Seville-Smith 20). Because of this, video games can be l iberating by allowing people to do things they cannot normally do. Effects of Computer Games Experts fear computer consoles such as the Nintendo Way harm child development Children should be banned from playing computer games until the age of seven because the technology is rewiring their brains, it is claimed. Bombardment of the senses with fast-pace action games is said to be causing a shortening of attention span, harming the ability to learn. The concerns emerged as technology industry experts gathered at a special summit discussing the development of children, held yesterday at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Educational psychologist Jane Healy said research indicated that computer games fuelled he development of basic flight or fight instincts rather than considered reasoning. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM A.
